Jaya Engineering College is an ISO 9001-2000 certified institution found in 1995 with a focus on technological innovation,entrepreneurship and character building on students.

On 29th September 2007, the Information Technology department sucessfully organised a National Level Technical Symposium,”ZILLIONIOUS EPISTEME”. In continuation the department is planned to conduct a National Level Technical Symposium “SAGACIA 09″ on 24-09-2009 in our college .SAGACIA ‘09

Events
RULES AND REGULATIONS.

* 1) Only online registration’ visit at: www.sagacia09.tk
* 2) Each participants can register for at most ‘Three Events’ excluding paper presentation.
* 3) All participants must bring the ‘print out of the registration confirmation mail.’
* 4) All participants should bring their ‘college ID card.’
* 5) Anna University dress code must be followed. (T-shirts, Jeans strictly not allowed)
* 6) Usage of mobile phones are strictly not allowed.
* 7) Judges decision will be final for all events.
* No Travel Allowance will be provided.

Paper Bonanza (The Paper Presentation)

The following are the topics,but not limited to the below.

* Network Security.
* Mobile computing.
* Ad hoc networks.
* Biometrics.
* Bio-informatics.
* Green Engineering.
* Image processing
* Advanced trends in IT.

RULES

* A team should comprise of only 2 members.
* The abstract should be typed in 1.5 spaces, times new roman, 12-point font on A-4 size paper with maximum of 200 words and should carry the name of participants, institute’s name, and e-mail id along with telephone nos.
* The abstract should reach us by e-mail on or before 14-09-2009 at sagacia09@in.com
* Maximum time allocated for the presentation is 10 min (8 min for presenting and 2 min for conclusion) followed by 2 min of interactive session. Multimedia Projectors will be provided. Three (3) hard copies and one soft copy in CD of complete manuscript of the presentation should be brought on the day of presentation.
Time limit should not be exceeded.

AD INNOVA – Ad Zap
RULES

* Each team must comprise of three to five members at the most.
* Each team will be provided with a situation for which the team will have to create an ad.
* Each team will be given only ten minutes to work on their ideas.
* The teams will display their ads before the audience and the panel of judges in 2.5 minutes at the most.
* Depending upon number of entries screening will be done before the final.

CONCURSO – QUIZ
RULES

* Two members per team are allowed.
* Depending upon number of entries screening will be done before the final.
* In case of a Tie, the winner will be decided by a tie breaker round .

KNOCKOUT – GAMING (COUNTER STRIKE)
RULES

* Four members per team.
* No headphones allowed.
* No use of krieg 550 commando and D-3?AU1(Auto sniper).
* No use of shields.
* Terrorist or counter-terrorist chosen by knife only round.
* No of rounds will be decided on the spot.
* In case of tie, the game will go into over-time.

DEPURACION – DEBUGGING
RULES

* Individual event.
* Computer based prelims with limited multiple-choice questions.
* Participants who gets the most answers correct will progress to the finals.
* Questions for finals will be based on C,C++ and Java.

SECO – ETHICAL HACKING
RULES

* Two members per team.
* Password for a given web page must be Hacked.
* Hints will be given.
* Time limit is 15 mins.
* Not a big deal ,if u have the sixth sense.

POSTER FX – POSTER DESIGNING
RULES

* Two members per team.
* Pen drives are not allowed.
* Decision of judges would be final.
* No additional images should be brought.

ZERO HOUR – Mock Interview
RULES

* English language is compulsory.
* Use of offensive physical gestures is prohibited.
* Use of notepad is allowed.
* Decision of judges will be final and abiding.
